Knorion

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 June 2026

Knorion is operated by Warp Driven Technology Pty Ltd ("Knorion", "we", "us"). We build an AI learning platform for students, and we know that means handling information about young people with real care. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

01 Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the learning experience:

  • Account details — name, email, the role you sign up as (student, parent, teacher or tutor), and country/region. For students we also collect a date of birth (to set age-appropriate experiences) and, for minors, one or more guardian email addresses.
  • Learning data — practice attempts, assessment results, progress and mastery, goals you set, and the personal knowledge notes that the platform builds and maintains for you.
  • Content you upload — materials you choose to add (e.g. notes or documents) to enrich your learning.
  • Billing information — if you subscribe, your payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. We receive a record of the transaction and your plan; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Technical & usage data — device and browser information, IP address, and how you interact with the site, collected via cookies and similar technologies.

02 How we use your information

  • To provide AI tutoring, generate practice questions, and maintain your personal knowledge base and learning path.
  • To personalise what you see — meeting you at your level and recommending what's next.
  • To manage your account, subscription and billing.
  • To keep the platform safe, secure and working, and to comply with our legal obligations — including those relating to minors.
  • To improve our product. Where we analyse usage, we use aggregated or de-identified data wherever practical.

03 AI processing

To power tutoring and question generation, relevant learning content (such as your question, a topic, or material you uploaded) is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (the Claude API), for processing. We do not sell your data, and we do not permit it to be used to train third-party foundation models. Outputs are returned to power your session and update your personal knowledge base.

04 Children's privacy

Knorion is designed to be used by students, including those under 18. For minors, we ask for a guardian's email at sign-up and expect a parent or guardian to be involved in setting up and overseeing the account. Parents and guardians can review, correct or request deletion of their child's information by contacting us. We take extra care to limit the data we collect from young users to what the learning experience genuinely requires.

05 Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the site works.

06 When we share information

We never sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers that help us operate — our AI provider (Anthropic), payment processors, and hosting/infrastructure partners — under obligations to protect it.
  • Within groups you choose to join — such as a family, school or team — where limited information (e.g. display name and progress) is shared with that group's members per its visibility settings.
  • Where required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

07 Security & retention

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe. We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or de-identify it, subject to any legal retention obligations.

08 Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. For student accounts, a parent or guardian may exercise these rights on the child's behalf. To make a request, contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

09 International transfers

Some of our providers (including our AI and infrastructure partners) may process data outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected to a standard consistent with the APPs.

10 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
